The Creative Journey

Our founder Kellie Smith wanted to start a business utilising her skills and experience. She is a fully qualified Graphic Designer with 20 years in the industry. She is also an Illustrator and Artist and has sold many of her drawings and paintings to people. Kellie has a love for horses and has had them since a young age. She has enjoyed competing  horses, breeding and training them and just having them for companions. This led her to having an idea of creating digital designs that she could place on a range of products (predominately fabric) which are based on her love of horses.

Kellie bases her design style on a range of influences, from French Provincial, French Country, to even Boho. There are not a lot of quality, unique horse based home wares and gifts available in Australia. This led her to create this business, so people can enjoy  products that showcase the beauty of the horse through her designs. All designs are crafted by Kellie herself. Beaux Chevaux prioritise sourcing materials from local and small Australian businesses, with most of the product materials being Australian-made.
